Abstract

What is the meaning of life’ is a question asked by every person regardless of life circumstances, especially in challenging times such as the coronavirus pandemic which has affected the entire world. This question is at the same time a philosophical and a psychological construct which, according to existential and positive psychology, is an important factor in human existence. Therefore, the aim of this research was to examine the attitudes of the citizens of the Republic of Croatia in regard to the meaning of life in challenging times. The questionnaire has been taken from Burke (1964) and was supplemented for the purposes of this research in which 471 respondents participated.
