Abstract

For N2, ethylene, propylene, CO2 and Xe we found that in the region of high densities, q Ε [3qc, 7qc], qc being the critical density, the extrapolated isothermal pressure-density dependences are well described by the following ansatz P (q) = [a0 + a1 (q – q0) + a3 (q – q0)3 + a5 (q – q0)5 + a6 (q – q0)6 + ... ] . [1 + b1 (q – q0) + b3 (q – q0)3 + b5 (q – q0)5 + b6 (q - q0)6 + ... ]-1 with q0 Ε [3qc, 7qc].
