Abstract

Political communication and communication channels with young people are the topics of this research. The aim of the research was to find answers to the following: Which communication channels do young voters choose as the most acceptable and effective, and which channels should political parties use more to attract younger voters to participate in elections? Would young people participate more in elections if digital communication channels were more prevalent in pre-election campaigns? The goal also included examining the attitudes and basic perceptions of young people about the current political situation in the Republic. Considering the relevance, importance, and complexity of the topic, the research concluded with defining questions that should be addressed in future studies. Finding the right combination of key factors to increase the political competence of young people and engage them in political choices and responsibilities became a question that arose during the research process for the author.
