Sažetak
Additive manufacturing (AM) refers to a variety of technologies that produce products layer by layer based on 3D digital models. The introduction of advanced capabilities has facilitated the utilisation of AM technology in high-performance sectors, including medical, aerospace, automotive, and other fields. However, the technology encounters several obstacles, such as poor surface quality, limited dimensional and geometrical accuracy, inadequate mechanical characteristics, internal porosity, and unnecessary phases. Various post-processing techniques are employed to address these issues and difficulties. This study provides a comprehensive review of existing post-processing approaches in AM, encompassing surface finish, removal of material support, thermal treatment, non-thermal treatment, and aesthetic enhancement. Furthermore, it provides several significant contributions. Firstly, it proposes guidelines for the selection method used in post-processing, as well as the technique that should be implemented to enhance surface quality and accuracy and eliminate support structures from the manufactured products. Additionally, it outlines the research gaps and unresolved problems that need to be addressed in future work.
