Starčević and Strossmayer in the Editions of the Lexicographic Institute - Analysis and Interpretation (with an Emphasis on the more Important Differences in the Texts and the Relationship between Starčević and Strossmayer) (Summary)

Sažetak
The article lists all the encyclopedic and lexicographical articles in the printed and online editions of the Miroslav Krleža Lexicographic Institute (including the article in the online edition of the Croatian Biographical Lexicon from 2023) concerning Ante Starčević and Josip Juraj Strossmayer. The author provides a categorized list of all mentioned editions in chronological order, after which he states the most important differences. In doing so, emphasis is placed on the texts that are most similar in content, while in more extensive articles individual parts are analyzed. In addition to the above, the introductory definition, i.e. the introductory description of Starčević and Strossmayer in the articles, is analyzed, from which the differences created in the editions over the years can be observed. The concluding emphasis is placed on the treatment of parts of the articles that concern the relationship between Starčević and clericalism in Croatia in general, and accordingly his relationship with Strossmayer, that is, their presentation and explanation in the articles. The author, as the first person to deal with this topic, tries to provide as comprehensive a list as possible of the most important differences that arose in the articles, but also to show the relationship between Starčević and Strossmayer in the edited editions as well as possible, creating a base for further research on similar lexicographical topics.
