Sažetak

In this article, based on archival and newspaper material, I will show how Yugoslavia helped the Arab states during the Six-Day War, when they were attacked by the State of Israel. The Six-Day War was neither the first nor the last Arab-Israeli conflict in which Yugoslavia was involved, diplomatically or economically, but it stands out for the dominant and sudden Israeli victory, after which Yugoslavia decided to break off relations with Israel. On the other hand, this war led to the strengthening of Arab nationalism and Islamic fundamentalism in the Arab world, especially in Palestine, which will form one of the most famous terrorist organizations of the Cold War - the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), which has survived until today. I will put special emphasis in the article on the economic relations between Yugoslavia and several important Arab countries.
