Abstract
The rapid development of technology, particularly digital media, may appear as an overwhelming challenge to the Church’s mission. Yet, it is important to recall that throughout its rich history, the Church has often had to cross various cultural thresholds requiring renewed strength and creativity in proclaiming the Gospel. Just as it succeeded in the past, it can undoubtedly do so today. The primary prerequisite for its success in evangelization (inculturation of the Gospel into specific cultures) lies in understanding the culture, openness to the world of media (digital culture), and addressing both its opportunities and dangers. This paper provides a brief overview of ecclesiastical documents on the importance of media for the Church’s mission and emphasizes the possibilities offered by new methods of media evangelization, illustrated through projects of the Croatian Salesian Province such as „Nova Eva,” „Ja slijedim svoga Kralja” („I Follow My King”), and „Lectio Divina with Don Bosco.” The research offers valuable insights and experiences that could be beneficial for improving these projects or designing new ones.
