Abstract

Addressing the collective through the prism of the personal trauma is one of the characteristics of texts produced in the 2020s, with a gap, then, of almost three decades from the wartime years of the 1990s, but still profoundly located in the context of the extreme violence of both the war and the post-war period. Milena Marković is one of the writers who has explored this literary space, and there are also, among others, Monika Herceg, Gloria Lujanović and Darko Cvijetić. This paper registers the extensive spread of the traumatic focuses of the dramatic poem Deca, or Children, with an emphasis on the distinctive idealisation of immaturity.
