Sažetak

Organized preschool education in Bribir begun in 1954, when Dragica Jurčić kindergarten was established. The first teacher there was Marija Divjakinja nee Dražić, who worked in the kindergarten from 1954 to 1964. After a threeyears break, during the school year 1967/68, the kindergarten reopened as a part of dr. Josip Pančić elementary school. Barica Majhen was a first schooled preschool teacher. However, she remained there only for a year. In 1968 Ljubica Vukelić nee Radulović was employed by the kindergarten. She was raising small inhabitants of Bribir for full 16 years, until 1984, and then relocated to a kindergarten
in Crikvenica. The kindergarten in Bribir was separated from the elementary school, to become a district kindergarten of Joy kindergarten from Crikvenica. Ljubica Vukelić was succeeded by another preschool teacher, Dajana Jerčinović nee Pađen, who has been working in Bribir kindergarten for 23 years now. In 2007 the Municipality of Vinodol opened Cicada and Ant kindergarten as an independent institution, with Dajana Jerčinović becoming its first headmaster.
