Sažetak

The possibility of growing vegetables in public spaces and community gardens in modern cities has become an increasingly popular research topic in recent years, as well as the application of encapsulated bioactive substances, which has emerged as one of the modern techniques of sustainable agricultural production. Therefore, a trial was conducted with the aim of determining the effects of the application of the fertilizer ‘Rhyzo BZˈ in the form of microparticles on the morphological
characteristics of pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) of the cultivar ‘Slonovo uho’ grown in urban gardens. Seven harvests of pepper fruits at the technological maturity were carried out, and the mass, length and diameter of marketable fruits of treated and untreated plants were determined at each harvest. The positive effect of the tested fertilizer in the form of microparticles was confirmed by higher values of mass, diameter and length of the fruits of the tested pepper variety by an average of 24, 8 and 15% compared to the values of the untreated plants.
