ECOTOURISM IN URBAN DISTRICT OF VINODOL

Abstract

Ecotourism is a concept of tourism development in places where people live in natural and protected areas (protected environment, national parks, nature parks...) and protect nature as well as their culutral heritage. Ecotourism is an aim that can be reached by economic development based on development of ecological offers. It is the market for products made by development of economical activities.
There are many potentials for the development of ecotourism in district of Vinodol, but there is no support by the local government and no conceptualized strategy. The long absence of strategy of development made the inhabitants hostile to the idea. It is necessary to work constantly with individuals, e.i. families that want to take part in economic development, and with all potential factors in the construction of the offer of ecological tourism.
