“MAINTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT” IN DISTRICT OF VINODOL

Sažetak

Vinodol valley has many advantages compared to other regions, such as geographical position, mediterranean climate and untouched nature and this is why it has good possibilities for the development of tourism. Investments in infrastructure would make the town look better and by respecting the law of maintainable tourism the place would have a better quality offer, which is necessary. Unlike other kinds of government, government of maintaianable development requires different knowledges and experiences aquired by studying humanistic sciences and different fields of natural sciences. The term “maintainable development” cannot be described just as an economic activity that satisfies today’s and future inhabitants. Maintainance should be understood as survival of quality systems which assure life (air, water, soil, plants, animals) and existence of infrastructure and institutions that share and protect components of ecologic systems.
