Abstract

The author analyses two documents left by Jovo Kostrenčić from Crikvenica and copied by Ratimir Gregurić in 1942. One document is about renting of a grave in the monastery to the judge Ivan Kostrenčić in 1734. and the other is about the land paulin monks rented to the same person in 1737. mentioning the conditions of rent.
Ivan Kostrenčić is one of the first historically important people who came from simple ways of life but is also ancestor of many influential croatian people. These documents are important because it gives us names of the parish priest and priests in the monastery, but also of the common people from Crikvenica, agricultural and fishing little town with the parish church in Kotor, near Crikvenica and was tightly connected with the monastery near the church of Holy Virgin.
