Sažetak

Between 1917. and 1931. engineer Stjepan Rovešnjak worked in Crikvenica as “civil engineer”. In this short period many houses and other buildings. He was the first architect in history of Crikvenica, who left a sign and made out of Crikvenica, or at least of its central part, an estetically important architectural unit.
Engineer Rovešnjak made many luxurious villas and hotels in art deco style, but his original drwings were not found until today. His work is heterogeneus, but recognizable. Except the buildings described in this article, there are twenty other constructions he made, from “Črni mul” to Sveta Jelena, in Selce, Jadranovo and Novi Vinodolski.
