TWO EXCELLENT OAK TREES IN THE INLAND OF CRIKVENICA: Protected Natural Values in the Region of Crikvenica, in Guljanov dolac

Sažetak
Different natural values of Crikvenica now have one more protected natural object thanks to the organization Društvo Crikveničana. Regional government decided on February 12th 2002. to protect two old oak trees (Quercus pubescences Willd) in Guljanov dolac, near Crikvenica, and declared them to be protected by the Law on nature protection. Very few towns in the Littoral region can be proud of such extraordinary natural objects. These healthy, centuries old oak trees of great dimensions are only the rests of forests of oaks and other species, especially Querco-Carpinetum orinetalis, in Littoral region and on islands.
