Abstract

The paper thematizes feminist narratology as a direction developed within anglo-american feminist criticism of the second wave by observing its theoretical similarities with gynocriticism. It turns out that feminist narratology appeared in the second half of the 80s of the 20th century as a kind of philological compensation of psychoanalytic theory of desire in considering the women's writing. Although today it is expanded to queer narratology, feminist narratology remains relevant equally in gender studies and literary criticism.
