Sažetak
Social networks have become an integral part of modern life, revolutionizing the way we communicate, share information, and form relationships. The purpose and goal of the paper is to explore the profound influence of social networks on ethical norms, examining how platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube shape the moral behaviour and attitudes of individuals. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze various ethical dilemmas that arise from the use of social networks, including issues of privacy, disinformation, hate speech, and cyberbullying. Special attention is paid to the role of cybersecurity in the context of ethical behaviour on social networks. The paper used descriptive methods, quantitative methods, inductive methods, surveys, and methods of analysis and synthesis. The results of the research aimed at examining the influence of social networks on ethical norms with an emphasis on the role of cybersecurity showed diverse results. On average, respondents did not encounter a breach of personal data, but they were neither convinced nor convinced of recognizing fraud attempts on the Internet, and they were not confident in their information about cybersecurity. The work contributed to the realization that people need to be further educated about the importance of cybersecurity so that they can recognize the threats they will someday encounter.
