Abstract

In this work, we present a simple mathematical model for glioma growth and its invasiveness. The presented basic model of the dynamics of glioma cells population takes into account factors such as proliferation and diffusion. Observing the fact that the brain is composed of various types of tissues, the model is upgraded and an initial analytical estimate of the survival time is made. The estimates for the parameters that naturally appear in the mentioned models are obtained through experiments. The experimental results are compared to those coming from practice (CT) using numerical simulations. Finally, we present a
research on trends of brain tumor mortality in the Republic of Croatia.
