Abstract

In the world and in Croatia transformation of electric supply companies is taking place whereby monopoly is abandoned and markets of electric energy applied. Basic prerequisites for electric energy market are: economic separation of electric supply functions and free access to transmission and distribution to all energy entities. Under these circumstances, among other things, transmission of electric energy needs special care regarding: organization of electric energy transmission, structure and level of electric energy transmission service, as well as specific costs that make the price of transmission service. The level of prices for electric energy service in the European countries shows characteristics of each electric supply company, the
same level for eligible and non-eligible customers and level 3-10 Euro/MWh.
