Abstract

The Flora Croatica database has been updated with a total of 58 new plant taxa recorded for the first time for Croatia, of which 17 are newly described species for science from the Ranunculus auricomus complex. The genus Carex has been revised nomenclaturally, and a total of 28 taxa have been added, of which 21 are hybrids. Of the other nomenclatural changes, all representatives of the Crassulaceae family have been
nomenclaturally and without exception harmonized with the POWO database. In addition, a complete and thorough harmonization of the names of all plant families in the Flora Croatica Database with the currently valid names of families from the POWO database, which are based on the APG classification, has been carried out. Two species (Carex myosuroides and Carduus chrysacanthus) have been excluded
from the national flora list.
