Sažetak

The article describes the most important technologies used in distributed energy sources and their impact on distribution network planning. With the opening of the electricity market, distributed generation is experiencing a growing increase in the number of installed units. Although their current share in the electricity market is negligible, distributed sources already play an important role in distribution networks: in cases where increased network availability is required, as backup power sources, or as an alternative to investing in the expansion of the distribution network. Consequently, the distribution network ceases to be a passive system element and becomes an active network. As a result, aspects with the greatest impact are considered, such as standards for connecting distributed sources, connection costs, technical conditions and limitations, protection, forecasting, operation, and distribution network planning.
