Sažetak
The paper identifies and observes the work of several contemporary Croatian playwrights, such as Ivana Sajko, Nina Mitrović, Olja Lozica, Vedrana Klepica, Ivor Martinić, Ivana Vuković, and others, who in the past few years have also acted as directors of their plays. The paper attempts to determine and examine the motives and outcomes of playwrights’ decisions to direct their plays and to place them within the context of contemporary (Croatian) playwriting and contemporary (Croatian) theatre.
