Abstract

Diachronic and synchronic research intertwine in many aspects and segments, some projects have both synchronic and diachronic components, and many scholars who are primarily concerned with diachrony occasionally work on primarily synchronic projects. This paper presents selected projects and activities of the Department of Standard Croatian at the Institute of Croatian Language. It presents the primarily synchronic projects, in which special attention is paid to the provision of diachronic data and cooperation between standardologists researching modern Croatian and researchers dealing with the history of the Croatian language. The paper also discusses the online availability of project results.
