Abstract
The Russian aggression against Ukraine began at a time when global tension was already running high. The war in Ukraine, in which there is an indirect conflict between Russia
and the U.S. and NATO, allows China to be in a geostrategic position that advances its ambitions to become a major player in the international arena and some experts claim that
China is the “winner” of the Ukraine war. The war in Ukraine is not over and the outcome of the fighting remains uncertain. This article examines the consequences of the war so far on relations between the United States and China, a relationship deemed by many to be key to future peace and stability.
