Abstract
We report 10 species of weevils (Curculionidae) new to the fauna of Montenegro. On five excursions with a focus on the edaphic beetle fauna, a total of 4 Rhynchitidae, 1 Raymondionymidae, 1 Erirhinidae, 55 Curculionidae, 7 Apionidae and 1 Anthribidae were collected. We comment on some remarkable records, in addition to the faunistic novelties, and provide a photo gallery of an excerpt of all these species. Based on the examination of type specimens conserved in the Georg Frey collection, the lectotype and paralectotype of Otiorhynchus (Pirostovedus) obtusidens Apfelbeck, 1928 are designated, and the formal synonymy of O. bosnicus Stierlin, 1888 = obtusidens Apfelbeck, 1928 syn. nov. is established. Furthermore, the lectotype and paralectotype of O. retifer Apfelbeck, 1928 are designated and the species is considered a subspecies (O. bosnicus retifer Apfelbeck, 1928).
