X-rays and the Nobel Prize: Röntgen or Tesla?

Sažetak
The primacy of the discovery of X-rays is
a frequent and perennial topic among Tesla’s
proponents, and it is often tied to the debate
over who actually deserved the Nobel Prize for
the discovery: Röntgen or Tesla? The purpose
of this article is to examine the validity of this
dilemma by using historical facts related to the
development of vacuum tubes and experiments,
known biographical facts about Tesla, and an
analysis of his and Röntgen’s work in the field of
X-rays.
