Sažetak
In March and April 1934, mathematician Antun
Hruš, a professor at the Split Women’s Real School,
gave a lecture on Einstein’s theory of relativity. Based
on the newspaper reports of that time, the content of
those lectures and the atmosphere in which they were
held are presented. The lectures were well attended
and well received in both cities, and Professor Hruš
was praised in newspaper articles as a skilled and interesting
lecturer. These were the first lectures on the
theory of relativity in these cities.
