Abstract

The study aimed to determine the association between body mass index (BMI) and physical activity frequency among 1st and 2nd-year medical students in Rijeka (N=178). Spearman's analysis showed a weak negative correlation between BMI and activity (ρ = -0.156; p<0.05). No significant differences were found between study years (χ²=3.803; p>0.05). Most students have normal weight (77.3% and 79.4%) and exercise 2-3 times weekly, indicating well-maintained health habits.
