About the Problem of the Musical Express of the Young in Liturgy

Sažetak
Nowdays it is more and more evident the question about the musical express of the young in liturgy. They have already their place in liturgy by the strenght of baptizing, but they also need to have the adequate musical express. This musical express has to be adequate to their growth and youthfulness.
The second Vatican’s synode when talking about the liturgical music knows only one conception: “The holy music”. The constitution SC explains it like this: “The holy music is going to be more holy if it is nearer the liturgical function”. If we place one above another the SINCERITY and VERITY of their liturgical function, their musical express will also have its own value. There will be the fancy place for their “spiritual song” no as an competent express, but as an intentioned express.
Here we may also say about the wish of the Pope Paul VI, who said: “The church is expecting of you to find out new artictical expressions, to find out the new, modern expressions, which are not going to be worthless of the past”...
There was one another occassion when the same Pope said: “Masses for the young are excellent initiative, and I cordially recommend them whenever are they without the polemical spirit, considering other masses in which there are no such news that may ruin the celebration of the mass...
One of the serious questions is also whether this conception “holy music” is adaptable to their expression in liturgy.
John Paul II when talking about finding out the new musical shapes, thinks that all this have to express the holiness and must touch the religous sensibility of today’s men.
The suggestion of the Vatican’s Concile’s document which talks about the holy music is “nova et vetera”, and this obligation wants to animate the church’s composers to do their duty in the first place.
