Sažetak
In the present article the author studies the episode of Jesus'appearance before Herod Antipas (Lk 23,8-12), which he considers to be an historical fact. Because of its omission by the other two synoptics and John, the trial before Herod Antipas has often been regarded as a Lucan creation or a legend that arose under the influence of Ps 2,1f. After the study of the text, the author examined the reasons which led some scholars to consider the episode as a story worked up by Luke himself. He rejects the objections to its authenticity and defends its historicity. Basically Luke's interest is the redemptive history which prevails throughout Luke. The Paston was part of Cod's plan. Jesus' trial is according to plan. The main conclusion of the article is that no valid argument can be adduced against the historicity of the episode. Luke seemes to have had an acquaintance in the house of Herod who supplied him with this fact. So Luke's information was obtained from first-hand sources. There is a clear connection with the other Herod scenes.
