Abstract

The paper describes the development of an instrument –
Orga-nizational communication satisfaction questionnaire
(UPZIK). The development of the questionnaire went
through two stages. The first stage included the development
of the original questionnaire with 107 items, administered
to 259 respondents. Based on the results of a factor analysis,
the original questionnaire was refined and reduced to its
final form – a short (32 item) instrument with 8
organizational communication satisfaction dimensions.
The second stage comprised of the application of the final
instrument in one big Croatian enterprise (total of 169
respondents). The repeated factor analysis and analysis of
dimensions revealed that the instrument is: (1) reliable and
valid, (2) comparable to existing findings worldwide, but still
culturally specific, and (3) applicable for future theoretical and
practical work.
