Media – the source of ideas for imitation

Sažetak

Every day life is full of stressful situations, especially in countries in transition,
ranging from life threatening problems in past decade to existential problems nowadays.
It can cause social alienation, family and friendship relationship crisis, emotional
detachment and man’s inability to cope with the problems on his own. There are certain
predictions that by the year 2020 depression will have become the second illness in the
world, coronary illnesses being the first ones. Examples shown in this paper prove that
media give ideas for imitation which often causes tragedies. Therefore, media should
consider and set up media reporting boundaries.
