The Covenantal Notion of the Church in the Epistle to the Ephesians 1-2

Sažetak
Seeing that it observes and analyses the scope of Christ's mysteries on the level of the universe and history, in the Epistle to the Ephesians the author frequently uses covenantal structure, notion and theology. Starting from God's mystery of his redempting intention which is the foundation of God's covenantal action, firstly in euchological and Christological-cosmic speech he expresses his scope for all creation. Then he applies the same but through a religiously historical speech to the Church - the body of Christ. This serves as an introduction for argumentative-theological speech with which he explains the experience of the Church as a new covenant that God in/through Christ made with mankind. The Church is portrayed as a new reality in relation to God, as a third gender in which historical divisions have been abolished, in which new creation is realised, a new man. All historical forms of the covenant by God's promise were directed to the new man who is already realised in Christ but who expects the true fulfilment in eschaton.
