Sažetak

The paper discusses the relationship between the Church and the media of social communication in the course of history, analysing some of the docu¬ments of the Church Teachers. The initial attitude od distrust and diffiden¬ce eventually gave way to frankness, respect, and acceptance. The Second Vatican Council marked the beginning of a dialogue between theology and the science of social communication.
