Sažetak
The scientific and vocational conference "A Creative Approach to Teacher
Education" was held in Požega from 28 – 30 September 2009. Since the Conference
dealt with the enhancement of creativity in teachers' continuous professional
development, the programme was organized in such way as to enable the participants
to apply the demonstrated techniques in their own work at school. For the same

reason, the techniques demonstrated were not those commonly used in scientific
conferences. The De Bono’s concept of Six Thinking Hats was used as a leitmotif in
ten-minute presentations followed by: World Café, creative workshops, interactive
plenum 4+1, round table, exhibitions and a surprise activity. The paper presents the
results of the evaluation survey conducted with the participants on the final day of the
Conference. The survey suggests that the participants were very pleased with the
activities (87%) and that positive emotions prevailed (98%). The participants
expressed the positive attitudes and recognized the applicability of such approach.
