Sažetak

Christian faith can't be understood except by starting from anthropological philosophy, that is from the question which asks about the supreme meaning of human life; the main characteristics of it are recalled. On the other side, Christian faith is »christological«, it is such as to acknowledge in Christ the foundation of truth, and not only the criterion concerning the meaning of every believed thing.
From the analysis of both sides (anthropological and christological) of Christian faith the A. infers that in it the consistent wholeness of Christian existence is integrated: the mutual deep penetration of faith, hope and charity reveals itself in their common reference to trust and love. The doctrine of the Council of Trento appears reticent from this point of view, but just for this cause it doesn't either condemn the doctrine of Luther about 'fiducial' assurance of grace.
Also Christian praxis has to be understood as an intrinsic and coessential factor of the unitary vital attitude of faith-love, and not only as a successive consequence of faith.
From the characteristics of faith and from the synthetical shape of believing life the peculiarities inherent in theological inquiry are inferred (fides quaerens intellectum).
