Sažetak
Terrorist attacks on New York, Washington, Madrid and London put an end to the golden age of multiculturalism in the USA and Europe. Severe criticism was directed towards those who had placed group (minority) rights before individual rights, causing the multicultural camp to moderate and revise its positions by turning to the so-called liberal or ‘soft’ multiculturalism. At the same time, a new variant – interculturalism – was created, which is oriented towards dialogue and cooperation, and emphasizes similarities rather than differences. As such, it is undoubtedly gradually replacing the older model.
