Sažetak

What is intelligence? How can we measure it? Being relatively new,
theory of multiple intelligences differs from traditional theories. Howard Gardner believes that our cultural intelligence has been defined too narrow, for intelligence is a complex set of abilities, beyond those measured by traditional tests of intelligence.
Consequently, he insists that teachers should be open to new reasoning and learning strategies. It seems that contemporary school needs a creative and flexible approach with different ideas and teaching strategies which will lead pupils to higher levels of understanding and competence
