Abstract

Dipolar electron binding to the diatomics SiBe, SiMg, CNa, and SiNa with high-spin neutral ground states is surveyed. Ali molecules possess one or more valence-excited anion states. SiNa- supports at least two 5Σ- dipole-bound anion states. The triplet-quintet multiplet splitting of the dipole-bound states in CNa- is rather small.
