Abstract

The Croatian sculptor Hinko Juhn (Podgorač, 9 June 1891 - Zagreb, 5 September 1940) is known first and foremost as a fine ceramic artist and the initiator of ceramic art in Croatia. On the eve of marking the eightieth anniversary of his death, one should remember his work as a medallist and his medals kept in the holdings of the Modern Gallery in Zagreb. These works in most cases concern sport, except for one portrait plaque. The medals and plaques are devoted to Zagreb’s sports clubs and sports events
held in Zagreb in the 1930s.
