Abstract

The effect of reassessing patients with depression and resistant depression in a CMHT caseload using the DSM IV criteria for
bipolar I and bipolar II conditions inevitably leads to the diagnosis of more patients with bipolar disorder. This has an effect on the
number of patients within the population of the CMHT who fall within the psychotic clusters of HONOS-PBR.
This should effect the resources which will be allocated to deal with the patients in the team.
