Abstract

The concept of voluntary slavery is one that is both overlooked and misunderstood. It is frequently grouped into the same category as the rights violating and evil practice that is coercive or compulsory slavery. Likening these two distinct forms is both irresponsible and ignorant. The two manifestations of slavery share only one word in their name and are otherwise completely dissimilar. This paper will strive to illustrate the difference between the two forms of slavery and build a case as to why the voluntary slave contract should be a permissible practice in our society.
