Abstract
In modern traction drive systems for electric rolling stock with induction traction motors, vector systems have found the greatest use as control systems. The reduction of losses in the traction drive system and, as a result, the reduction of electrical energy consumption depends on the accuracy of regulation of the controlled parameters. An analysis of studies devoted to the development of vector control systems has shown that taking into account the saturation of the magnetic system of an induction motor increases the accuracy of adjusting the controlled parameters. This study proposes a method for taking into account the saturation of the motor magnetic circuit through the main motor inductance, as a function of the magnetic circuit flux linkage. On the basis of the proposed method in the MATLab software environment, a simulation vector control system was performed with and without saturation. Comparison of the simulation results showed that neglect of saturation leads to an increase in the slip of the motor rotor by 0.0111 relative units and, as a result, to a decrease in the efficiency of the rotor by 1.02%.
