Abstract

This paper proposes a general, comprehensive solution for port energy transformation that considers
sustainable port growth in line with green shipping requirements, on the one hand, and the smart grid
concept, on the other. In this context, it is shown that it is of great importance to design and develop
a centralized system for monitoring and managing the energy network in the port area, which can
integrate, monitor, and manage available energy sources, as well as supply demanding loads.
