Abstract

We formulate a general method, within the Wannier classical model, for treating the small-energy molecular fragmentations, with one heavy and three outgoing light particles. Threshold laws for the final configurations of C3v symmetry have been derived for the pairwise additive potential functions of the inverse-power law and results for the van der Waals interactions are shown. The applicability of the Wannier model has been discussed.
