Calculation of the electron scattering lengths for noble atoms

Abstract
The potentials which fall off asymptotically as const · r-3, s > 3, are considered and the new method of calculating of the scattering lengths for them is presented. This method is especially useful for potentials which behave as ± a/(2r4) for large r. The scattering lengths for electron scattering on noble gas atoms have been calculated.
