Canadians in Search of Identity

Abstract

Prompted by the perception of societies of highly-developed countries
as societies where multiculturalism has solved intercultural
(and interethnic) problems by peaceful means, the author attempts
to fathom the way in which the concept of multiculturalism is manifested
in the Canadian society. Multiculturalism as lifestyle is
even in Canada still a process rather than the true everyday life of
all social structures.
