Abstract

This paper describes cases of severe tooth wear, caused by a strong
abrasive component in bread (stone particles), and loss o f enamel and dentine o f the “pressure-chipping ” type, as a consequence o f grinding a mineralized substance (shrimps legs), which is a little known type of tooth wear in primitive Inuits of Alaska, Canada and Greenland.
