Ban Dvor is a scholarly and professional journal in the fields of the social sciences and humanities, open to researchers and professionals studying Croatian history, language, culture, identity, social processes, and heritage. The journal publishes original scientific papers, preliminary communications, review papers, and professional papers in the social sciences and humanities, as well as other contributions in the following categories: review and commentary; news items, announcements and reports; sources and materials. The journal takes its name from the medieval site of Ban Dvor in Kosinj. Kosinj, Glagolitic heritage, early Croatian print culture, incunabulistics, and historical landscapes constitute one of the journal’s distinctive thematic focal points, but do not define the limits of its content. The journal is open to research across the full range of the social sciences and humanities, without restriction to a particular region, historical period, or topic. The journal is open access, and no fees are charged for the submission, processing, or publication of articles. Ban Dvor is indexed in Hrčak – portal of Croatian Scientific and Professional Journals, the Croatian Scientific Bibliography (CROSBI), and the Slavic Humanities Index (SLAVUS).
