John Owen Dominis as last ruler of Hawaiian kingdom

Abstract
Family de Dominis from the island of Rab is one of the most important families not only in the history of Rab but also more widely, in Europe and the world. This important and powerful family gave many known and famous persons from local, European and world history, related to mundane and religious sphere. Two members of the family stand out and gained worldwide recognition and fame thanks to their work and life. They are Marko Antun de Dominis and John Owen Dominis. This article deals with the latter one. He was the husband of a Hawaiian princess and the last ruler of the Hawaiian kingdom.
